jasongodoy Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Hey guys/gals, is it possible to when specifying a backup schedule in FileMaker Server 5.5 to just specify a specific file instead of the whole folder of database files. When I select "Specify" and browse my MAC OS X SERVER for the FM DB files to backup, when I get to the folder, all the files are GRAYED out, making them unselectable. Is it possible to specify a specific file to backup vs the whole folder? Thanks, J
Ender Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 No, I don't think you can select a specific file to backup. You could move your file into a subfolder and backup that, but you would then need to reselect the file in the scripts, relationships, and value lists in other files that refer to it.
DykstrL Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 If you separate your files into subfolders within the server folder, you can specify the files in a specific folder to be backed up. I think, however, that you can only go 1 level down from the server folder. It works on my server.
