Issues with FM 5.5 and Office 2003

Has anyone out there had an issue with running FM 5.5 on a computer that has Office 2003 installed on it? When in an open database FM will often freeze requiring me to hit ctrl+alt+delete.

More than likely, you have a corrupt printer driver on that machine. Set a different printer as the default system printer and try again.

To fix the corrupt printer driver, you will have to delete the printer, manually delete the related driver files from the system folder, then reinstall the printer with the latest drivers from the manufacturer.

This did not fix the issue. This is happening on any workstation that I install office 2003 onto that had FM 5.5 installed already. This has to be some sort of conflict between the two.

Does any one have a clue on this one? I need to upgrad everyone to Office 2003 but cannot if this is going to be a problem.

I have been running 2003 on several machines along with 5.5 for about a year. OS is XP Pro.

Once you've elminated all the usual suspects - aliens, viruses, etc. - think about RAM.

FMP 6 (so possibly 5.5 as well) had a bad habit of just hanging or even closing down, when run with MS Excel in insufficient RAM. Office 2003, I think, is a great RAM-chewer.
