Is anyone else experiencing some quirky behavior with drop down menus? It only fills the field out with the ID but puts both the ID and the name in the display of the field. Is there a way to turn this off?

Also, since I upgraded to 8, I get a spinning beach ball on some value lists, filemaker freezes and then crashes...argghhh. (especially if you are showing info. from a different table in the second field). This worked fine in 7.

Raingirl, in your define value list, you are displaying values from a second field as well. That is why the drop down list will show you both values. However, once you select a choice, it will populate it with only the value from teh first field because that it the primary value.
