FM 8 and Win 98

Featured Replies

Hi,

Will I have any trouble installing FM8 on Windows 98 system (P4 3.0Ghz, 512MBram). I can't change 98 since I run a prop. program that will only run on 98. Thank you.

Filemaker says no, you can't run on W98. You need XP SP2. I would be very doubtful that you could even install FM8 on a W98 box, since the installer should prevent the install from even running.

What is "98"?

John

The number before 99.

Perhaps you could solve your problems with this:

Each of the OS'es could recieve quite some trimmings away from providing identical features. I once allowed myself the time make the XP needed for my banking agile under VPC, which really paid off later - good source for these tweaks is this:

Which is a mirrorsite while the original page is down - now I think that you with the hardware availiable won't choke imidiately but do yourself the favour if multi-os'ing!

I thought it was the number after 95. No wonder my calculations don't work.
