I installed my license on a mac computer, and wanted to know if it is legal to instal it in a laptop, considering that I am the only user.

Strictly speaking, it probably violates the licensing agreement.

But if you don't tell anyone, how would the folks who care find out?

FileMaker knows when another NETWORKED computer as the same serial numbered installation if both are on. You get a "Maximum number of Users..." message. Otherwise, who's to know?

The question was about if this is legal. Perhaps reading the license agreement would help:

Excellent! Thanks for the post. I never read those things. I just click 'agree' and get to work relying on the "don't ask, don't tell" principle.
