dmaxj Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Hi, all!!! I am using the developer utilities to ENABLE KIOSK mode for non-admin accounts. Here are my steps: -Tools->Developer Utilities -Add my database file -Rename my file ( just in case) -Select my project folder -Select overwrite matching files -Click Solution Options button --check Create Runtime Solution --check Enable Kiosk mode for non-admin account --check Create error logging ( i get no errors.) CLick OK Click CREATE Filemaker processes the info and creates a new folder with the runtime libs in the selected folder. I open my file and enter my non-admin accountName and password. The screen shrinks to a small window with scroll bars on the bottom and right sides. Is there a way to fix this?
Vaughan Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 What's in your file's startup script? Try putting in Adjust Window (maximise).
dmaxj Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 Yes, I already have 'Adjust Window[Maximize]' in my opening script.
dmaxj Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 I also meant to ask if there were any other ideas? Regards
Vaughan Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Disable kiosk and see whether the FMP *application* window is maximised or not. There is no easy method for controlling the size of the application window.
dmaxj Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 Yes, the application window is maximized when kiosk mode is disabled. I seem to be so close to - the window is just so small. My application looks perfect. It's just a small window in the middle of my screen with horizontal and veritcal scroll bars. Kinda like looking at my application thru a paper towel tube. Regards
Inky Phil Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I am puzzled by this as I have invoked kiosk a few times without this issue. You definitely do not have any 'new window' settings in your startup file that might be resizing things have you. Run with debug on (not in kiosk mode as that overides debug) and check each step to see at which point ANY window appears at the size you are experiencing. ONE of them has to I would think Phil
dmaxj Posted July 31, 2006 Author Posted July 31, 2006 I will try later tonite... Also, I just thought about this issue: I have dual monitors setup on my machine. Does anyone think that the dual monitor setup from one video card could be my problem???
