Converting FMP File to Access

Hey all,

I am working on a DB project in which I have to have the end result work either in Access or as a stand-alone (without FMP installed). What are your suggestions? What is the best way to accomplish this?

Thanks,

- MT

Hi there and welcome to the forums

If you had advanced you could prepare a 'runtime' version of your db which would allow anyone to run the solution wether or not they had FM installed on their machine.

There are a few limitations to a runtime (the main one being that they are single user only in runtime state) which you would have to research to ensure that they do not give you a problem and you would have to have 2 runtime files. One for each platform.

Other than that a runtime is probably what you want
