Adding images to a filemaker database with PHP

Featured Replies

Has anyone come up with a solution for adding images to filemaker databases using PHP?

Aside from SuperContainer from 360 Works, I don't think that there's a really simple way to stream binary data into FMS. You could to a php based upload with a file that keep track of the references and then have a script import that via a robot... but that just feels silly.

Take a look at the SmartPill forums (http://scodigo.com/formums). I'm pretty sure I saw a discussion of doing this.

Besides, SmartPill is FANTASTIC!!

1) You could try via PHP & ODBC

2) Failing that, you could use SuperContainer, or Grab-It from fmwebschool to "grab" the image from a specific URL.
