Glitch, Corruption or User issue???

I am having a problem with text disappearing from a field. We are using Filemaker 8.0 with WinXP and FMServer 8.

I read the other post regarding a similar topic but I have a different issue. I am working with a standard (non indexed)text field. After the user had typed about four lines of text, he accidentially hit the CAPS LOCK key which deleted all the data entered in that field.

I didn't believe this to begin with, but we run Spector Pro on the machine to monitor keystrokes and screen shots. After checking the Spector program, I found his story was accurate. Now I don't know if the wind was blowing or not, but I was wondering if anyone had heard of anything like this in FM?

I find it hard to believe that the caps lock key triggered anything, I don't think even macro programs trigger from caps lock. That may have just been a coincidence.

Sometimes people get confused and think they're in Browse mode when they are actually in Find mode. That's one possibility.

I agree, in fact I was going to type the same thing when the site went waco.

I was thinking that they thought they were in Find Mode, but were actually in Browse Mode, which could seem like they are entering data, but they are not. However, they would get a warning about Not records found to match the criteria.
