Can't Sort or Pre-Sort with PHP Site Assistant

Creating a simple site to search one field named "authors", presort by "authors" and "year" fields, and return a listing of a calculation field. Search works fine. Sorting doesn't work. I believe the sort options in the PHP Site Assistant does not perform presorting search results. it just provides column headers that sort by clicking. That's cool but won't serve our purposes. The data returned must be presorted. Is this an option? Not within the FileMaker PHP Site Assistant.
