i want to share my database on the web but im using the internet acces thru a network, how can i set up my file maker pro to go over the net?

As long as they have the IP address Filemaker users can access your databases across the internet.

the problem is that only the people in the same network can acces the database because im on the network and the people outside the network, receive a meesage said the server cannot found

It sounds like there's probably a firewall between you and the rest of the network. It may even be that your IP address can't be seen from the rest of the Internet because of the way your network administrator has the computers and routers set up.

Have you spoken to the network administrator? It may be a simple matter for him or her to allow access to the machine you want to host your databases on.

ok i can see it from my home, now, but not any pc at the company can im going to tell the pc administrator about that to see if he can set up his side to see the macs thru the net
