November 10, 200025 yr Newbies Is it true that the FileMaker Pro 5 Server is not a DBMS (Database Management System) product? If it is true can anyone please give me more detail on how it function and do we need it for web publishing? Thanks:-)

Well, not entirely true. Filemaker Server is on piece of a RDBMS. Specifically it is the database server piece. Also FMP Server cannot server databases to the web. You need either Filemaker client or better yet Filemaker Unlimited.
