Is there a way to put a word document in a field? I thought it could be done with a container field, but now I guess I can't.

You can put the text from a Word document in a Text field or put a picture of a Word document in a container field (or the audio of someone reading the document wink.gif), but that is about it. I'm not sure there is even a concept of how you would store a Word document in a field of any database. -bd

Another possible option that might work for you is to store the path to the document in a text field in FileMaker. With AppleScript on a Mac, you can then launch the document with a button in FileMaker.

Using something like WinBatch, I hear you can do similar things on Windows.
