MadHatter Posted November 23, 2000 Posted November 23, 2000 how do i make my own web page for the database? i mean, with access i used to code in asp, but i cant find out what i need to do in file maker. some one please help me. i looked in the help file and it just said that i can make my own web page, which doesnt help me a whole lot. so what do i use to make the homepage? and where are some good tutorials? thanks guys

You can set Instant Publishing ON and that is all, or use Custom publishing and the HTML pages are displaying field content via CDML tags e.g. [FMP-field: color] will display content of field "color". Vaughan Posted November 23, 2000 Posted November 23, 2000 First, get a copy of Claris HomePage 3, it understands all of the cods that FileMaker uses. HomePage also has the "FileMaker Connection Assistant" which will walk you through the steps of building a full set of custom format pages to suit your needs. They look pretty back but they are a great starting point. You can download a free 30 trial version of HomePage 3 from the FileMaker web site, just follow the links to "trial software" http://www.filemaker.com/
