I'm getting a freeze / crash after the Initializing screen. It looks like it makes it past all of the fonts. Then the splash screen disappears, but nothing else....

Before I go rebuilding that machine, I thought I'd check to see if anyone had any ideas.

It may be too obvious, but have you tried to re-install Filemaker? I'd start there.

Sadly, I have already tried reinstalling (twice). I should have written that. Actually, when I let Norton CrashGuard run, it'll 'revive' FMP once, but subsequent launchings fail.

To clarify, I've tried both installing and running without any other programs running, and also with a normal complement of Norton System Works 2001 running.
