Newbies righty Posted January 26, 2001 Newbies Posted January 26, 2001 Being new with Filemaker, I have looked at some templates to get an idea of what type of user interface looks good. I really like the "tabs" type of interface at the top of each layout form, rather than the Menu method, because of the one-click interface. How does this get setup? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
yafreax Posted January 26, 2001 Posted January 26, 2001 this is basically done by duplicating layouts after the basic design is made, changing the main information to whatever you need it to be, and changing the tabs to have the correct buttons/scripts assigned to them. there can be a difficulty of making the whole tab a button depending on it's shape, or you can do it the easy way and just make the text on the tab a button. if you want an indepth file, go to www.databasepros.com click on resources and search for "tabbed interface." it will give you a file for downloading. jeremy
