Newbies jayme Posted March 9, 2001 Newbies Posted March 9, 2001 Do you know what the estimated limit should be on the amount of fields in one database? Is 130 too many?

I have some databases with over 700. It really depends upon what you are storing in those fields. The database files each have a 2GB limit. ------------------ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Kurt Knippel Consultant Database Resources mailto:[email protected] http://www.database-resources.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Newbies jayme Posted March 9, 2001 Author Newbies Posted March 9, 2001 Thanks Kurt. I was just reading that repeating fields are not recommended if you want to utilize that data in reports. I have 52 repeating fields with 15 repetitions each. Is the Que Publishing book really recommending that I create 780 fields (52x15)? Isn't there a better way to go about this? quote: Originally posted by captkurt: I have some databases with over 700. It really depends upon what you are storing in those fields.
