I get Network Error Codes (-2) and (-10) when I try to set a File to MultiUser. Help!

I have several computers in an office and want to share/host a database via TCP/IP.

When I go to document preferences and try to change it to multiuser, I get a FM message saying that the fiel couldn't be set to mulituer do to a network error. It sometimes returns the code (-2) and other times returns (-10).
