Ocean West Posted April 9, 2001 Posted April 9, 2001 FileMaker Pro Is a stand alone application with all the functionality to develop databases. It will allow you to host databases to other computers running FileMaker Pro. In most cases the number of users and number of databases quickly becomes a problem. FileMaker Server, is a multithreaded application. It's purpose to open database files so people running FileMaker Pro can access these files. Server has no features to develop databases. It only can open databases and backup databases. It does not publish databases on the web. For that you need FileMaker Unlimited which will allow you to have more than 10 users hit your database in a 12 hour time frame. FileMaker Pro will allow you to publish on the web but with the above restrictions.
