I am sharing the FMP5 database (as a guest) from the Win2K server (the host).

The print devices of the win2k were shared and working fine..(when i print from other softwares, e.g. word2k)

However, I have a printing problem with FMP5.

When i use HP LaserJet 6L(PCL) to print, it give me a blank page!

When i use Xerox DocuPrint P8ex to print, it printed what i want.

Besides, when i logon to the win2k and use HP to print directly, it work fine.

Why i can't print FMP5 data from the network using HP LaserJet 6L (PCL) ??

Here are 2 things that may be affecting your printing:

Printer names longer than 31 characters (including the server name) have been known to cause FileMaker to crash.

Change the Graphics Mode option from HP-GL/2 to Raster.
