Can just Filemaker Pro 5 be enhanced in any way using J++? Or would there only be a benefit in it if using FM Developer?

I dont think so, but maybe I'm wrong..

Drinking lots of java is helpful in working with FM Pro.

I do not thing FileMaker will be strong in Java department. XML yes, they do work intensively on that.
