I'm working on the ground of a previous programmer and he has about 4 or 5 files for the login to work. Also, he has a web layout on his database.

I'm trying to work around that and make it more simple. Is there a way to connect directly into the list of accounts of a database without requiring a layout with username and password fields?

EDIT : I guess what I want to know is how to verifiy the validity of the FileMaker object without an additional layout. Right now I pass my database and login info in it and it goes through no matter what username/password I use.
