I am new to relational databases and testing many to many relationships and portals prior to completing a larger database.

I have 3 files, File A - Employees, File B - Classes and File C - Join File EmpClass. If this looks vaguely familiar, it is right out of the manual.

?? The problem I am having is the portal setup in File A to see those classes for the employee in question only displays the first related record several times. Additionally, I am unable to modify the records in the portal. The same problem exists for the File B to see those employees in each class.

I am assuming I should see all related records in the portals for both file A and B.

Any help would be appreciated.

Chris

Never having read the manual ...

I would take a look at the relationship you've set up for the portal in question. Chances are it's not quite right.

Without more info (What relationships have you set up? What data goes into each file? etc.), I can't give a more specific answer.

HTH,

Dan
