I have an online search form that pulls in a value list. I would like the form to initially be blank and the user can pull down an arrow to get the values - basically a global field in the HTML. Right now, I have added a blank to the value list in FMP:


¶Dog¶Cat¶Butterfly




instead of 



Dog¶Cat¶Butterfly


Although that works, I'd rather not have the space in FMP and just have it in the HTML.  I've tried 








but that didn't work.  Not sure what else to try.  Can anyone offer any insights?
