Daniel Shanahan Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Is there a way to determine what plugins an .fp5 file is using? I opened the file in FMP6 Developer and went to FileMaker Developer/Preferences/Application.../Plug-Ins I can see a list of the plugins but these are application-wide. I just want to know what plugins the current file has, if any. Is this possible? Thanks.
Vaughan Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 You'll need an analysis tool like Base Elements but I am not sure whether they are compatible with FMP 6 and earlier.
Daniel Shanahan Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 Thanks, Vaughan. Your comment sparked an idea: I created a DDR XML for all files (49 of them) and then opened them in TextMate. Once there, I could Find in Project (Edit/Find/Find in Project). At first, I searched for "Plug" thinking I would catch "plugin", "plug-in", and "plug in". However, I did not receive any result (and I know there are some plugins). So then, I searched for "External" and narrowed that down to "External(". Although not as easy to read as BaseCamp, Inspector, MetaData Magic, etc., it still did the trick. Thanks for replying.
