GTRR Error in Popover with WebDirect

Hi all

 

Is anybody else having an issue where GTRR does not go to the relevant record when using a portal in a Popover accessed through WebDirect?

 

This action is repeatable in a brand new file.

 

Two tables A & B - Table A layout with a cartesian join to Table B to show all records.  Create a portal on Layout for Table A and place a button in portal to GTRR.  Now copy that portal inside a Popover object (so you have both on the layout - easier for testing).

 

Host the file on Server 13 and access through a web browser using WebDirect.

 

The portal outside the popover goes to the correct record you clicked on - the portal inside the popover goes to the first record in the relationship.

 

Anyone else experienced this or have any thought / comments?

Yes, basically what seems to be happening in a popover is that whatever button you have in a portal triggers BEFORE entering the portal row. The only workaround we've discovered is to use an On Object Enter script trigger on our portal row. For example, you click in a field in our portal, which enters the related record, and THEN triggers the desired script from the context of that portal row. This is not ideal for every circumstance, but it works well enough for ours. Seeing as this is likely just a prioritization bug, I think it will probably be fixed in 13v2 or whatever.

Thanks for that - good idea.  And yes I'm hoping it will be high enough on the list to make it into v2.
