Hi, I excluded the FileMaker Server folder from the Time Machine backups but I want the databases to be backed up in the TM hard external hd.

 

So I created an applescript that copies the files to a folder outside the FM Server folder but when I run the schedule to execute the applescript file with FM server I get the error message "aborted by user".

 

What other options I have to copy a file from the FM Server backups folder to a folder accessible to Time Machine?

Remember that anything scheduled by FMS runs as the fmserver user (unless you specify a different account).  That fmserver account may not have write privileges to your destination folder.

Hi Wim, sorry for the late reply, I thought by "following this topic" I'd get an email … anyway, thank you very much for your response, I adjusted the privileges and now it works perfectly.
