Webdirect inside a Joomla iframe gets 'stuck' (see attachment) displaying the status and menu bar.  It doesn't always happen, sometimes the script completes as it should.  When it doesn't, it requires clicking within the iframe to conclude remaining script steps.  Below are a few things I have already tried.

 

Moving the script steps for hiding status and menu.

Removing the script steps for hiding status and menu.

Using http: in place of https: in URL.

Same results when loading URL directly with no iframe.

 

Same behavior in IE11, Chrome35 in Win7 as well as Safari and Chrome in OSx Mavericks so I don't believe it is a browser issue.

 

Seems to happen more often if the browser is refreshed.  If the URL is loaded in a 'virgin' session, it seems to be fine, simply flashing the status bar before loading the appropriate layout.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions for solving this issue?  This is a game stopper for my project as I cannot expect the client click in the iframe when this randomly happens.
