I have a running database for a client that uses the Troi Grabber plug-in. The database is a log for stills for a production company. The grabber plug-in is used to grab images from a Beta deck or scanner. Everything was working great until the database file exceeded 2Gigs. I was not aware of the 2Gig file limit, and now must fix this problem.

As far as sizes goes, the database will need to accomadate (eventually) 250,000+ records, each with it's own image attatched. Does anybody have a suggestion? I have no problem with capturing the image, then saving the image as a sperate file, then using the "store only a reference to the file," but how can I do this? Also, if I can do this, will this slow the performance of the database?

PS - When the image is captured from a beta deck (the most common way), it is about 390k in size. Also, the database is running on a PC.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.
