Do you have an auto enter password in the preferences for the second file.

If you do and want access with the higher level, you will need to hold down (CTRL & SHIFT on PC) (ALT & SHIFT on MAC) before the second file opens.

In the second file, simply change the privileges of the password to do what you want. That way if the first file is opened with the password "dog" and has full access, the other file will also open with "dog", but in this instance it will have limited access.

In other words, the same password in different files can have different privileges.
