Can anyone recommend a backup software package that will backup open FileMaker databases? We run Filemaker 5.5 Unlimited on Windows 2000 Server. Thanks.

How about filemaker server.

You can do one of two things:

Build scripts into each of your databases which perform a Save As to a shared location, then backup that location.

Use Filemaker Server which has the ability to perform scripted and timed backups to a shared location, then backup that location.

NEVER backup open database files.

It makes automatic backups and many other things.
