Will Posted March 5, 2002 Posted March 5, 2002 Can anyone recommend a backup software package that will backup open FileMaker databases? We run Filemaker 5.5 Unlimited on Windows 2000 Server. Thanks. [ March 05, 2002, 11:43 AM: Message edited by: Will ]
Kurt Knippel Posted March 5, 2002 Posted March 5, 2002 You can do one of two things: Build scripts into each of your databases which perform a Save As to a shared location, then backup that location. Use Filemaker Server which has the ability to perform scripted and timed backups to a shared location, then backup that location. NEVER backup open database files.
ZuperZZ Posted March 6, 2002 Posted March 6, 2002 Hi Will, Try the FMtools made by Paul Jancen, It works very good. It makes automatic backups and many other things. http://www.apjuk.com/ ZZ
