Here is a problem. I am running a database on a Mac running OS9. For certain security reasons I am using ApleTalk Protocol in the Prefs. (I dont want any access thru tcp/ip over the internet).

Now this works fine for my local network users on OS9 machines. As long as I also set their prefs. to ApPleTalk, they can access the database. But no go from any machines running OSX. First off, there is no option to set the prefs. in FileMaker OSX to AppleTalk. I have as of yet not been able to get access to the database over the network from the OSX machine. Anyone else seeing this problem?

FileMaker Pro 5.5 on OS X supports TCP/IP only. This is by design. If you want to block outside access, close Port 5003 on the firewall/router.
