LynfordD Posted August 21, 2001 Posted August 21, 2001 Why when I open File Maker 5.5 on my Mac does it log me on to the web? How can I make it not do this? [ August 20, 2001: Message edited by: LynfordD ]
Vaughan Posted August 21, 2001 Posted August 21, 2001 In FMP's application preferences, choose no network (you probably have TCP/IP selected). The Web Companion plug-in might also be enabled, disable this too.
LynfordD Posted August 21, 2001 Author Posted August 21, 2001 Thank you for your help. I did make sure all is un selected and none in the General tab... And no Plug in's are checked. As soon as I click on the FM Icon it still wants to log me on to the web? [ August 21, 2001: Message edited by: LynfordD ]
Vaughan Posted August 22, 2001 Posted August 22, 2001 Double-check FMP's network protocol setting. Twice. Just a guess: if you are on a PC, check exactly what the path is for the shortcut that you are clicking on. (Look in its properties.)
LynfordD Posted August 22, 2001 Author Posted August 22, 2001 I'm Mac Not PC But I Checked it all agai all is un Checked?
Vaughan Posted August 22, 2001 Posted August 22, 2001 From memory the network protocol setting is a pop-up list. Are you sure you've checked it?
LynfordD Posted August 22, 2001 Author Posted August 22, 2001 YES FROM THE NETWORK PROTOCAL I'V SELECTED NONE. And noe of the plug in's are selected. I also trashed the Pref folder. And it sill in launching wants to dial on to the internet. I alsotried re installing it but it does the same thing? Thank you for your kind help. Any other ideas?
