FM 5.5 Opening Loging on to WEB

Featured Replies

Why when I open File Maker 5.5 on my Mac does it log me on to the web? How can I make it not do this?

In FMP's application preferences, choose no network (you probably have TCP/IP selected). The Web Companion plug-in might also be enabled, disable this too.

Thank you for your help. I did make sure all is un selected and none

in the General tab... And no Plug in's are checked.

As soon as I click on the FM Icon it still wants to log me on to the web?

Double-check FMP's network protocol setting. Twice.

Just a guess: if you are on a PC, check exactly what the path is for the shortcut that you are clicking on. (Look in its properties.)

From memory the network protocol setting is a pop-up list. Are you sure you've checked it?

YES FROM THE NETWORK PROTOCAL I'V SELECTED NONE.

And noe of the plug in's are selected.

I also trashed the Pref folder. And it sill in launching wants to dial on to the internet.

I alsotried re installing it but it does the same thing?

Thank you for your kind help.

Any other ideas?
