Using FM Pro 5 v3 on a Mac.

Added pictures to database which I later removed.

Now every time I quit my database FM goes into a "scanning for unused blocks" then "removing unused blocks" modes that seem to take forever.

I've seen these messages before but they took only seconds. Not it's more like minutes. What's happening and how can I stop it?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Use Norton Utilities Speed Disk to take a look at your hard drive (or network volume - must be done from the server) and see if it is very fragmented. FileMaker cleans up it's own file structure, but doesn't fix a fragmented drive.
