Automatic Double Spacing in WebDirect

When on webdirect I copy/paste text into a box, but when I click away the text is automatically reformatted with double spacing. Is there a way I can prevent this from happening. If I copy/paste into the desktop software, or even via webdirect on the computer hosting the server, the double spacing doesn't happen.
