Pedro8000 Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Hi there - I need to create a simple crosstab report and wondered if filemaker 17 has this functionality built in ? If not can somebody point me in the right direction on this please. It would be very much appreciated. Also once ive created a series of reports how can i combine them so they appear at the press of a button in a single document ? Any help would be much appreciated. Peter
Steve Martino Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 It's not built in functionality. You can google FileMaker Cross Tab and get many examples and tutorials.
LaRetta Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 What still amazes me is that LotusSuite (Approach was their database) had crosstab functionality in 1998 and I used it all the time in designs yet FileMaker still has nothing similar.
Josh Ormond Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 The best we have right now is Virtual Lists. For me, that is enough. But I also prefer to have the control over it. I definitely don't know what keeps FileMaker from adding it in, completely. But with JavaScript implementations of DataTables, I much prefer to use that. Josh Ormond Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Absolutely. Virtual List, as is obvious, is my preferred approach.
