Newbies emme Posted April 8, 2003 Newbies Posted April 8, 2003 Hi, Is there any way to run FM scripts automatically at certain times of a day? To be more specific, we want to import data from a text file which is updated continuously. we want to have a process running to check the text file once every hour and import new records into FM. The OS is Windows NT. Thanks in advance.
Ugo DI LUCA Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Lee, upset ? Emme is the newest member! Is it the way we shall go with them ? Maybe he found a way to script his post everyday at same time We'll check that tomorrow.... Emme, please do not duplicate post, or Lee may .... Oops... this post has been entered 4 times ! We've got a Guiness record here ?
danjacoby Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 I've seen 5! But neither that fact, nor the fact that "emme" is new excuses this behavior. I mean, come on, already! It doesn't take a lot of brains to know that you've posted something. Multiple posts are just obnoxious. It's worse when someone who has posted over 100 messages does this (and there's one floating around on the boards now, unless it was removed in the past three hours), but still...
cjaeger Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 mybe just explain "emme" to not use the browser's "back" or "history" button when posting
Newbies hokeroy Posted April 8, 2003 Newbies Posted April 8, 2003 Waves-In-Motion, used to have a plug-in that would let your run scripts schedule. Check their web site to see if they still sell it. Regards!
Newbies emme Posted April 8, 2003 Author Newbies Posted April 8, 2003 Sorry. I did not intend to offend anyone. I posted this question 4 times to 4 related forums (danjacoby, I don't know where you saw the 5th one, but it definitely not by me). I thought that this way it could reach more experts. anyway, I am very sorry if it bothered anyone. thank you to hokeroy for your help.
