Opening Multiple Database and Flashing

Featured Replies

I hope there is a simple solution to my question...as I'm new at Filemaker. I created a multiple file program. In this program the files operate with the window maximized at all times. I would like to open all of the databases (about 30) with minimal flashing after the user logs on. Can this be done? How? Thanks for reading my post.

I don't have a definitive answer, but there is the "Open hidden" checkbox in the Open script step. You can also Freeze Window before you open the other files. You can also open them via Perform Script (External), or Go to related ().

However, no matter how the files open, there's no way to bypass the "Opening..." dialog that flashes by when opening network files.

I had a similiar situation from opening files via a script. In the script I had refresh window in the script which caused it to flash. Removed that step and it worked fine. This may be the same for you. Just a thought.
