Scott Loeb Posted July 14, 2003 Posted July 14, 2003 Not knowing much about programming< Is there a way to make a database I make separate from Filemaker, for example like a program someone created. I know you can lock things so people can't can't change anything, but is their a way so all you see is the database and know menu's? Scott
kenneth2k1 Posted July 14, 2003 Posted July 14, 2003 Look at FileMaker Developer. Be sure to read the specs at filemaker.com and be aware of some of the advantages and disadvantages. No menus - youre probably looking at kiosks. Programs you want to run independent of FM are runtimes. If you don't want a kiosk, but you don't want menus, there are plug-ins for that. Ken
Anatoli Posted July 15, 2003 Posted July 15, 2003 Even without plugin for menus, there is security setting with (Menu) None. With that menus are still visible, but 99% is disabled -- grayed.
