change background color (body) in existing layout

How do I change the background color of the body part in an existing layout? Right now I have a filled box behind my objects however there are multiple records coexisting on one page and after the first one the box disappears. I will have an unlimited amount of records. Thanks,

If the box only shows on the first record of a list, have a look at the way it overlaps at the top and bottom... is it overlapping the header?

It's easy to color a layout part. Just click on the label of the part, e.g. where it says "Body," and then apply a fill/pattern from your trusty paint bucket.
