User So and So is modifing record

I get a message that so and so is modifying record so and so. That's fine when they are actually modifying the record, but this happens to any record (from a portal)i want too access. I have to goto that puter and just click anywhere and the problem is solved. I cannot find a pattern. mad.gif

I believe scrolling in a portal locks all related records.

Related records get locked in 3 ways:

1. Click a field in a portal row

- clicked row's record is locked

- first row's record is locked

- parent record is locked

2. Click portal scroll bar

- first row's record is locked

- parent record is locked

3. Click in a parent record (non-portal) field

- parent record is locked

- if the first portal row is the same, scrolling the portal will say it's locked

(it will scroll if you click on a different row)
