I'm looking for a trick to be able to present the user with a dialog before they exit FM to verify that they really wanted to exit... I have users who occasionally "hit the little X" to close the window and inadvertantly wind up closing FM instead of just the window and I'm trying to protect the innocent from themselves...

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated....

Hi, mm! I don't have a copy of FM Developer, but my guess is that you can only do that sort of thing with the Developer version. It's kinda stupid, but you can try to minimize this problem by actually putting a warning right on the layout in a red bar or something saying ===== don't click that ===> or something. Ironically, Macs operate that way by default... there is no "CLOSE and QUIT" click box... you have to FILE > QUIT or keystroke CMD-Q.

Hmm.. I wonder if there's something you can do with the SCRIPTMAKER... There is an option to auto-execute a script on closing... just thinking out loud...

The SecureFM plugin can lock out the close boxes.
