our company recently purchased 2 licenses of FM-8 advanced(both unique). I have the pleasure of being a recipient of one of the copies.

For the first few days everything was going fine and the new features are great.

However i have encountered a problem.

We have two servers which host our files. Both are live Mon-Fri with many users interacting. When i log into one of the servers i receive a message that my licensing code is in use by myself?!?!?! this just came out of the blue one morning... i have had no problems with the application not responding or anything like that. after i receive that message FM automatically quits.

However, on the second server i am free to move about the files as i please, as soon as i go to log onto the first server again BOOM same message that my kay is in use by me.

anyone have this problem... should i look to reset the server this weekend and try that??

this problem has spanned the last two days and i am out of possible solutions.

help

p.s. my counter part with the other licenses key is on a windows machine and does not have my same problem :)

If you were disconnected from the server by a crash, or network interruption without closing the file, the server still thinks you're connected. Then when you go to connect again, you get the conflict. If you connect to the server with the server admin tool, you will see there is a connection to you. If you disconnect manually, or if you have an idle timeout set, you should be able to connect again without resetting the server.

I have this problem... At first we thought it was the key we were given.

Turns out for us, if we had server 7 console open, then opened up advanced (on a completely different computer), it didn't like it. We closed down the server console and were fine.

Not a fix, but you're not alone!
