Kent Searight Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Hi all, Does anyone know how to get FM 8 or 8.5 on a Mac to dial out via a VOIP service? Is there a plug-in? I searched the web but came up with nothing helpful. Thanks in advance!
comment Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I think you would use a Open URL[] script step, with a callto:// URL prefix?
normanicus Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Take a look at this: http://homepage.mac.com/jonn8/jpt/ I think it will dial using just about anything Norman
Kent Searight Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Hi Michael, You are unbelievable! Where do you come up with all this knowledge? I searched like crazy before posting my question and I came up with nill, zilch, nada! Is this technique documented anywhere (other than here, of course)? Many thanks for helping out on this one. I was pretty sure after I did a search for this and came up with nothing that I'd be going back to the client and telling him "no can do" (and I really don't like to do that).
comment Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 (edited) It should be documented by your VOIP service provider, at least. That's how you would provide a link on your site for people to call you - same as mailto: for sending mail. It has nothing to do with Filemaker. Link Edited September 5, 2006 by Guest Added a link
