Prevent Startup script from running

I give classes for teenies, and one of them has a trouble with a script, which end the programm and runs at startup.

is there an easy way to prevent that script from running?

open the file via a relationship from another file. This will open the file without firing the startup script.

Assuming that you have appropriate rights you will then be able to disable or amend the startup script
