Gerd Muller Posted April 17, 2001 Posted April 17, 2001 Hi all In a layout I need white text on a dark background. No problem, as long as the text is not rotated. When I rotate the text, it isn't shown anymore. Why? Mac OS 9.04, FM 4.0v2 Gerd
danjacoby Posted April 17, 2001 Posted April 17, 2001 I notice the same problem in v5. If you make the text color a very light gray (or, apparently, any color except white), it should solve the problem.
Newbies ievins Posted April 17, 2001 Newbies Posted April 17, 2001 I'm seeing what I think is the same problem (Win98, FMP 5), and it's not restricted to white text. In fact, the text in question is colored, _and_ it displayed fine for a while but has now decided it will only show up in Layout mode. Not a big deal in this particular case, but I'm curious about the cause.
Chris Wood Posted May 1, 2001 Posted May 1, 2001 I can make it work by selecting white text, rotating it (it goes), selecting a yellow text it comes back), change the background to the text box to a different colour, change back to white text (it is still there),change text box background to original colour (text is still there). What a watse of time. Chris
elvis_impersonating_penguin Posted May 1, 2001 Posted May 1, 2001 hey.. i noticed this problem too.. when i did it. the white text would only disapear if i made the background transparent... if i gave the background any color at all the white text would show up.
