Tooltip Background Changed?

Has anyone else noticed that under Vista the background color for tooltips has changed from yellow to a light blue gradient? And worse, that it renders as a banded effect, not a true gradient?

Was this an advertised "improvement"? Is there a way to change it back? I've checked my desktop settings under Properties and they're the same as they've always been. FMP is somehow overriding them.

For most folks, I suppose this isn't a problem (other than the banding effect). But I have some companion help panels that are color-coordinated to match the previous tooltip backgrounds.

Any help will be appreciated.
