July 25, 201114 yr Has it broken? (I haven't installed Lion yet, but I know it worked in Snow Leopard at least for basic things.)
July 25, 201114 yr There is no Rosetta in Lion, so the answer is no. Perhaps in the future Apple or some third-party will develop a Rosetta for Lion - there sure seems to be a lot of demand for it. See also: http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9710
July 25, 201114 yr Author a customer called me, telling me about the fact that it doesn't work. maybe http://www.hardmac.com/news/2011/07/06/a-snow-leopard-vm-on-mac-os-lion is a solution (at least for supporters) did anyone try that?
July 25, 201114 yr I just read the article about running 10.6 in virtual box to get Rosetta functionality. Unfortunately only 10.6 SERVER is licensed to run on a virtual machine (10.5 Server is also licensed) not the standard client versions. I cannot see Apple changing their license agreement in the future. The new Lion 10.7 is licensed for virtual machines both client and server but that does not help in this instance. IMHO now would be a good time to snap up cheap 10.6 Server licenses as they become available.
