Newbies ravenswood Posted November 19, 2001 Newbies Posted November 19, 2001 Hello, Do you need a licence for each computer that will access the database. Thanks, MICHAEL LEE (ravenswood) [ November 19, 2001: Message edited by: ravenswood ]
LiveOak Posted November 19, 2001 Posted November 19, 2001 Yes. In fact, all versions of FM since version 4.0 check licenses on networked copies and won't let the second computer with a duplicate license launch FM. -bd
Newbies ravenswood Posted November 19, 2001 Author Newbies Posted November 19, 2001 Thanks for your response. Mike (RWS)
Anatoli Posted November 20, 2001 Posted November 20, 2001 In addition you can access databases from browser. FM can host 10 additional IP in period of 12 hours. FM Unlimited can host unlimited number of IP. Instant Publishing can let you see data, but scripts will not run. Custom Publishing let you program sophisticated things for browsers. It does not mean necessarily less investment than licensing, but maybe in long run yes. You can use it for Intranet and for Web.
