Won't install 5.5? 2GB is not enough memory!

So I've upgraded to a new G4 with 2GB of RAM. When I opened my Filemaker Pro 5.5 Installer a window appeared saying that I didn't have enough memory to continue and that a minimum of 8MB was required. Obviously, Filemaker doesn't know what a Gigabyte is. Does anyone know of a workaround for this?

Hi:

I think this is a known issue with the installer that FM uses. The funny thing is that the filemaker.com Knowledge base says that to resolve this issue, you should upgrade to FM6! HAHAHA. I would probably just remove the RAM sticks so you have only, say, 256MB of RAM, then install. Then put the RAM back in.

Or I'd switch to the Windows platforms (this is especially for Dan)

This is a bug with the 5.5 installer, not with FileMaker's software.
